Cambodian UN peacekeeper killed, 8 pained in CAR

Attackers in Central African Republic ambushed a convoy of UN peacekeepers from Cambodia and Morocco, killing one Cambodian soldier and wounding six subsidiary peacekeepers, Cambodian officials said Tuesday. Three Cambodian soldiers and one Moroccan peacekeeper were along with reported missing after Monday's surprise onslaught and may have been kidnapped, the officials said.

It was not rapidly determined who was responsible.

Central African Republic has been embroiled in disorder past 2013, bearing in mind rebels overthrew the nation's president.

The United Nations launched a peacekeeping mission in the country in 2014 and now has on intensity of 12,000 troops deployed to protect civilians from unprecedented deadly manipulation along along as well as Christian and Muslim factions.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen announced news of the violence in video remarks published almost his endorsed Facebook page that came as he inaugurated a proceed building in Cambodia's eastern Tboung Khmom province.
